England is a good team...but they aren't good enough to win the whole thing. England got pretty lucky in England Ecuador...it's amazing how Ecuador's shot bounced off the goal, I thought for sure it was going in. However, luck won't be the winning routine in these next rounds...teams like Brazil, Portrugal, and Spain in their half of the draw, it will be difficult. The farthest they'll go is to the semis, where they'll verse Brazil...they'll need to play their best even to get there.

Well, you have seen the game: boring, boring, and boring.
The funny thing about this is that England's fans always point fingers towards other teams, thinking they are the best!
An example: always complaining about the Italians, the way they play defensively, the way they win games... then what do we see? Liverpool, Arsenal and National Team applying the same way of play... but that is OK, because it comes from them!
I think a little less hypocrisy is needed.

liverpool and England they play the same formation. first they attack but when they score a goal or two they always play defend, this the bad habit but they have the strong ability and alot of good player, so i think they are going to win the 2006 world cup

Nope..........they arent going to make it........unfortunately they arent.....England has pretty hard teams like Argentina, Brazil, and so many others......plus all they do is argue with everyone......also the way ROONEY was playing today was so childish........not making no effort....plus this game was only won by a Free Kick not even a Goal that isnt Soccer so in my view that was a sympathy kick..........and an embarrassing win......

I heard they are going to win by default. After today's game, the other teams are packing already and heading home.
The tremendous way England played just scared the hell out of them!!!

No chance. They've JUST BARELY been getting by, they wont make it past the next round...and to be truthful their games havent been so interesting. Despite that i love portugal and want them 2 win it all i think germany and brazil have the best chance.

It could be a possibility, but I think it'd be a big challenge against Brazil, Germany or Argentina, whoever wins there.
