The female condom is larger than the male condom and has two rings, one on each end. The main material is polyurethane. The smaller ring is pliable and you squeeze the sides together and insert it in your vagina, much like a tampon. The outer ring is larger and rests outside the vagina covering the clitoris and labia.
The cost is more than the male condom but there is more coverage onthe outside of your genital area. About the same effectiveness as male condoms for preventing STDs and pregnancy.

Yes, there is a female condom. It has been out on the market for a while. You can even go to a hospital, in the women's health department you can ask for one. They will teach you how to use one and give you a pamphlet. Basically, it's the reverse of a man condom. You are the one taking the initiative to put it on and use it...No more waiting or asking him to use one in order to protect yourself from STDs. Although, I must admit that it doesn't look comfortable at all...but you can make that decision for yourself. Best wishes and take care.

Yes.
# The female condom must be properly positioned before any contact occurs between the penis and vagina and/or rectum. The female condom may be used for both vaginal and rectal sexual intercourse.
# For vaginal use, squeeze the smaller ring and insert it into the vagina. The large end should be place over the vaginal opening to protect the outer genitalia from infection.
# For rectal use the small ring should be removed. Place the condom over the erect penis. The condom will be inserted with your partner's penis.
# Be sure the penis goes directly into the large ring to preclude unprotected sexual contact between the penis and the vagina or rectum.
#Remove the condom immediately after sexual intercourse and before standing up. To avoid semen leakage the large outer ring should be twisted. Carefully pull the condom out and dispose of it.
