Hi, I have one and love it. There are pro and cons. Here are my feelings on both.

Pro's, yes, it does a great job vacuming, as long as you have low carpet, or tile, wood etc. It gets under the beds, tables, desks, etc. It gets places you might not. It also does a surprising good job at picking stuff up. It is small, easy to pull out for a kitchen spill or other small job. and of course, it does the work so you do not have to.

the cons, it runs for 1-2 hours, so you may not be able to do your whole house in 1 setting. We have a 2,000 house, and it has to do half at a time. It is a bit loud, as it runs, and bumps into things. If you are not home that is OK, but otherwise it can be annoying, and since it runs for 1-2 hours, I plan when to run it when I will not be home. The biggest con I see is that you have to clean it frequently. the simple part is just dumping the bin of stuff that it picks up, the harder part is cleaning the brushes. We have 4 people in our house, and 2 small dogs, so the brushes pick up all kinds of hair, human and pet. I find i need to clean the brushes every other time I run it. Not a big chore, but a pair of scissors, or the cleaning tool they supply, and 5 to 10 minutes of picking stuff from the brushes.

Overall am I glad i got it, YES. I strongly reccomend it. We run ours in the kitchen every couple of days so things stay clean. Before we were lucky to vacuum once every week or two!

Mike

Roomba is great. I've had one for a couple of months now. Works perfectly. Picks up just about anything. You have to keep it clean though.
