It is can very cruel, especially if you are the one that is being talked about behind your back. It will happen throughout your life and many times you won't be able to do anything about it, unless you find out it is happening.
I'm real sorry to tell you this but I believe in my heart that it is human nature to do this. Human beings can not only be cruel but very cold. You may have to just live with it, but always try to make the best of a bad situation.
I have seen in my life when something negative happens, that means something positive is about to happen to me.
So keep your chin up, be proud of yourself, and love all people. If someone bad mouths you, the best thing to do is be kind to them and be real nice. You will find that doing this will eat them alive. They cannot stand something like that. You sound very young to me but that is ok. We all need to learn things and what better way than this right. You happen to be communicating right now with an old guy who thinks he knows a lot of life experiences. Anyway, take care of yourself and always remember Jesus loves you and is with you all the time.

I personally think that we do all that smack talk to maintain our pecking order. We are like a bunch of hens in a hen house trying to peck each other down with smack talk. But, what do I know!

A friend that talks behind your back is useless I don't care if the person they are talking about is pretty or popular its just all buls***!!

I think most people back-stab for a hobby, they haven't enough excitement in their own lives to discuss so they begin to pick everyone else apart....and then there are those who just like to hear the sound of their own voice! you just gotta ignore it, or stay away from them...

in the event that they are 'quite' my acquaintances, no longer somebody i had to tolerate with at artwork/college, then NO i dont talk at the back of their backs... eventhough i know what the others have been asserting have been genuine, that my acquaintances have been interior the incorrect, i wouldnt upload gas to the hearth. i purely saved my silence, if i cant look after them. loyalty is significant to me...

Yup cause it happen to me, and then i found out that ppl who do that, are just jealous and have nothing to do with their spare time.
