If possible, can anyone give me statistics on this issue? What percentage of divorces are due to cheating? How many people have cheated in the course of their lives? On their spouses, loved one etc. This does not include open marriage.

its 50- 50 from what ive read and seen and heard . My ex cheated on me 3 times throughout a 14 year long marriage and i turned to cheating after 8 years, not to get back at him but because i was VERY UNHAPPY with him and myself and i didnt know at the time i would be better off on my own then to be with him. I stuck around for the kids sake and thats a big mistake too but again i didnt know..i was young when i got married.
Anyone here under age 21 , please dont get married before you had your wild times which every teen needs.
I have 3 girls of my own and im glad i tought them right :)

I can only guess, but I would say in reality, 40% of males will cheat, 7%will get caught. 25% females will cheat, 18% will get caught. A large number of cheaters is there, because many aren't caught. A man more likely to do it, a woman is usually bad at doing it. I read this a long time ago in a STUFF magazine.

I think more people cheat....I don't know what percentage, but look at all the marriage's that end in divorce instead of lasting.

I think its only natural for men to cheat they are dogs, iv never cheated in my marriage, but my husband did more than once, he says he did it because i left him or a long time on business, that still isnt a good answer, i just think that its in thier nature to do such horrific things because i think they get bored of looking at the same woman every day thier entire life whare as us women are more sentimental and love for life, dont get me wrong there are alot of whores out there, but for the most part i think most of men do cheat on thier wives

I can not answer statistically. Personally, I have seen alot of men cheat, and only a few women.I stayed strong, and didn't drift anywhere, and my husband cheated all the time.

In the town where I live I would say about 50% cheat. They all may deny it. But I have seen it and some have tried to involve me.

i dont think they have information like that, but in todays time, i believe that cheating goes on in all marriages at one time or the other, people have changed so much in the last20 yrs or more there is no love in there hearts , marriage between them doesnt nean anything, its like they marry, and if that one didnt work, get me another one, oh well

If you consider thoughts of passion and porn cheating, the % would be in the 90's.
If your talking about affairs, 30%
