Aloe is only good when you apply it directly to the skin. Vit E also work well for fresh scar. For old scar (more than 3months old), try Centica 10g from a pharmacy. Much cheaper than other branded scar remover, about US$2 only per tube of 10g.

I never heard of drinking aloe to rid the scar tissue but there are a few ways to help diminish the scar tissue. You can get a massage in that area to break it up and release it. Of course you need to be always drinking water to help rehydrate your muscles and skin. You can also buy this natural product at your local health/natural store called "scar go" It looks like almond oil. That works very well IF you use it on a regular basis.

I used to use aloe on the scar tissue and it would help. Aloe creams are available which almost completely gets rid of it. I haven't heard about it helping when you drink. One of my friend used to apply fresh aloe on her skin as a treatment for acne scars.

I have never heard of anyone DRINKING aloe. To me it would be far more effective to put it directly on the scar. However, there are scar reducing medications out there that are over the counter. I've heard they are the best. The number one brand name of this medication is called Mederma there are others that are far more affordable. Just compare active ingredients. Usually you can find it in store aisles where skin medications are at (like wart removers, anti-fungal treatments that kind of stuff is usually in the aisles.)

I researched Aloe and Aloe Vera and found no benefits for scarring if ingested, only the gel put on externally on wounds and newly created scars. I suggest a dermatologist consultation if you are looking to excise a scar or use dermabration.

Target has this great (and nice-smelling) scar lotion, and it helps me tremendously with acne scars. It' stheir brand of mederms, which also works well, but smells bad and is quite pricey. Otherwise, i go with gentle exfoliation, followed by vitamin E oil. Not the kind you get out of a bottle-- that has been diluted with soybean/other oils. (this will help...but) For a more potent dose, i take a pin and stick it in the softgel and take it directly fro m there to my skin. Seems to work wonders for me. :)

Drinkable Aloe is usually too weak to be effective.

A better alternative is to get some shea butter and use it topically. Suprisingly, you should be able to find it at walmart.

Sorry, the chances of that helping are pretty much nil. If you did it forever you might help your skin rejuvenate which would eventually overtake the scar, but don't expect to see results anytime soon.
