you are supposed to shave opposite of the hair growth, against the grain not in the direction of hair growth!!! dont shave, use NAIR!! THEY EVEN HAVE NAIR FOR THE FACE

To get a closer shave, you need to go in the opposite direction of hair growth so you are lifting the hair, allowing you to cut it closer to the skin.
I imagine different razors work differently, so you might switch around.
Waxing and plucking pull out the hair, and so remove a portion under the skin for longer lasting results.
But some men just have heavy facial hair growth, and will just need to shave twice a day.

I shave my face and my head. I always shave against the direction. It is the only way i have found to get a really really close shave...baby soft.

shaving issue is a blade issue. the only suitable is the old fashioned one your grantfather used. i use a blade per year.modern mach 2, 3, max, etc, are rubbish for companies to make money.be carefull. these razors are sharp, they are not playing.

also use a scrub before you shave. always scrub before you shave, not after!
