Everyone who doesn't get promoted thinks the person who got promoted is a suck up and kiss ***. Victims can't accept the fact that maybe they didn't get promoted through some fault of their own, heaven forbid they might not be energetic enough, have the right skills, be enthusiastic, etc. Past behavior is a good indicator of future behavior. Anyway, I congratulate you for your promotion, and many more to you if that is what you seek. P.S. the best way to get promoted is to do an excellent job at what you are doing.

Because this how a percantage of people react who have been working hard to get a similar promotion. Jealousy takes over, a fact of life.

Some people measure their personal success by comparing themselves to the success of those around them. You don't sound like you do, and that along with the rest of your character and committment may be why you were promoted and they weren't. I'm pleased for you, well done.

its all part of life to begrudge others of things that they deserve dont mind them if you got the promotion then you deservered it congradulations on the promotion and keep up the hard work

They probably are happy for you, they may be feeling a little gutted they weren't promoted but that doesn't mean they begrudge you for your advancement!
