The national I.D. seems to me to be an international way of keeping track of everyone, everywhere.
Supposedly you will not hold a job, open a bank account, walk into a federal building, fly on a plane and much more without this card. Seems like a precursor to the mark of the beast

Besides conspiracy theories and paranoic theology, a document which would spare a person of all the bureacracy in life is welcomed. You should just be careful to police your governemt and not let it do whatever it wants with the information ...

A photo ID is requirede to do ALL those things right now, and have been for years! Is it wrong YES! Blame Bush NO, Blame the establishment, NO! blame the American people that continue to side by as our liberties are taken away? BINGO...YES!

I don't know about the mark of the beast thing, but this is where my libertarian side kicks in. I'm vehemently opposed to such a thing.
