I really love cadbury bars and just heard the news yesterday. which bars were affected and which ones were put out of production? do you think it would be safe for me to eat a cadbury bar right now? Or should i wait til im sure its safe?

Cadbury is withdrawing more than one million bars of chocolate from shop shelves because of possible contamination by salmonella. The seven products affected are:
Cadbury Dairy Milk 1kg - £5.49
Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel 250g - £1.54
Cadbury Dairy Milk 8 chunk - 69p
Cadbury Freddo - 10p
Cadbury Dairy Milk Turkish 250g - £1.54
Cadbury Dairy Milk Mint 250g - £1.54
Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons
Easter Egg 105g - 86p
To be honest if I liked chocolate I'd still eat them. These scares are rarely as bad as they apear on the news. More the fear of being sued is the reason they are removed.

More than a million Cadbury chocolate bars are being taken off the shelves over fears they may be contaminated with salmonella.
The company said it had agreed to recall seven of its most popular products in the UK after consultation with the Food Standards Agency.
The affected products are the 250g Dairy Milk Turkish, Dairy Milk Caramel and Dairy Milk Mint bars, the Dairy Milk 8 chunk, the 1kg Dairy Milk bar, the 105g Dairy Milk Buttons Easter Egg, and the 10p Freddo bar.

I heard on the news today, Cadburys knew about this 4 months ago but because it is such a tiny amount of salmonella they did not bother to report it to Food Standards as there is no risk???? so I would say Yes go ahead and eat and enjoy because you probably already have!!!! I heard one of the bars are Turkish Delight, and I think another might be caramel x

The bars affected are the large dairy milk, dairy milk with caramel, mint, turkish delight , small dairy milk and freddo bars. I think thats all of them that were affected. Scary when you eat it all the time isn't it?

yeah my corner shop is still selling them i think it was the turkish bars were one but not sure if it is all, its been like this since january so i think someone is scare mongering

did you still eat beef with bse scare?
chicken with bird flu?
if you want to play it safe then do so, maybe eat diff brand of choc instead if you crave choc...
its totally up to you, you do what you think is best for you
