People do get divorced in India too, but not as frequently as in the US, I believe it's because of this clause called irrecensilable differences. that means, if we just can't work it out, then we'll split, and so now, people take that to an extreme, instead of communicataaing and working things out, they get divorced. Plus, everyone tries to follow what celebrities are doing, and they get divorced like they buy shoes. It's a big deal if a celebrity couple lasts more than five years. Besides, now a days, people actually say if things don't work out, they'll split and try again...like it's no big deal. In India if a divorce happens, it';s usually because of abuse in the relationship, not because u don't like the way ur spouse dresses or something trivial like that.

I am not familiar with Indian customs but I do know in the United States it is common for men and women to get divorced. My opinion on that is that it seems in this day in age both people have to work to survive financially and women seem to be strained between work, career, and family sometimes. Also things seem to be fast paced here probably more so than in your country. I am a Christian also, I do not like to think about divorce. It is sad to have to go through a divorce. I have been married 26 yrs. and have two children and it would kill me if my marriage failed.

i understand your question, and it is a hard one to answer. people here just dont follow up on what they say, they call it quits at the smallest problems and take marrege to lightly. my parents understand what it meens to love each other on matter what. sure they argue and fight some times, but they love each other any way. most people just dont know what real love is.you are very lucky to live in a place where people dont devorse at the drop of a hat.

because in America, people get married like its going out of style and alot of times they dont take the time to sit and think about their decision.
theres also alot of pressure on people here to get married, and after a while when it gets boring to see the same person every single day, they just get divorced and find a new one

to many people , getting married is nothing more than a piece of paper, that can be easily torn up!!! its cool to get married!!!!! I do not beleive in divorce............things have to be worked out!!!!
