Seriously....People should really learn to realize that England should of kicked Ecuador's butt.......but they didnt.....if england is such a big, high mighty team why didnt they score.....plus if you really do look at the game England won only because of a FREE KICK by beckham (Mr. Spice) seriously if it wasnt for that England would of gone into overtime......plus the England was losing momentum beckham was throwing up players were getting dehydrated......and on top of that England has been in the World Cup games since how many yrs. ago....while in comparison this is Ecuador's 2nd time.....so in comparison we are talking about the Grand Daddy of Soccer vs. the Toddlers...and it is very curious that the first team to make an advance was ECUADOR.........maybe England should consider their playing techniques and change some players!!!!!

Yes, I agree, England made it to the quarter finals. They beat Ecuador 1-0, although it was a struggle. We´ll see what happens when they plat against Portugal or Holland, which isn't defined yet because they are gonna be playing in a couple of hours.

Don't think they'll be going much further! It's a good job they didn't play Germany as they'd have been hammered. It's beyond me why people think England are the greatest and are going to win the world cup.

I too was very disppointed -- a meager victory against a second-tier (should I say mediocre) opponent. No creativity whatsoever in attack, and some alarming problems in defense. They will have to improve a lot in order to reach the semi-finals.

England are not playing well, but that factor will only weigh against stronger teams than Equador, with all due respect to my south american friends.
They will do better against the next adversary.

I kinda agree with you, but they won, and that's the only thing that really matters. 1-0 is absolutely enough for victory, and that goal was beautiful.

no they are not. they just have a lot of boneheaded fans who think they are good when they havent won a world cup singe '66 and only got through the first round because their group was awful!
