Hi
I sometimes think that i should have been born 20 years ago, in the 80's. Im obsessed!! I love the music, the fashions (well, the leg warmers anyway!) It was such a great time.
Anybody else feel the same?
No dumb remarks thanks.

Yeah, I'm not sure what time period I should've been born, but I don't like being born now. I guess I wish I were born later, or not at all. I mean, I guess it would've been fine to have been a millenium birth, then I'd be an adult in 2018, and then maybe things for women would be a whole lot better, and everyone will just accept everyone else, and not be so judgemental about others, or themselves. It's a thought, probably won't come true though.

I went through a phase where I loved the 70s and thought I should have been born then and would have loved it. I think its quite normal to enjoy things from certain times, but I think one of the reasons you may enjoy it is because its a novelty -if you actually lived in the 80s, everything would be 'normal'. Like, what we see as 'retro computer games' like Pong and stuff, that are a hilarious novelty n stuff, would have been height of technology then. Think about now -there are a lot of things that are out now, that may become future 'retro fad' things. Dolly shoes, sequins on everything, the killers, having a chinese on a friday night... Just enjoy it, ok? If you like the 80s, you like the 80s. No worries...

lol i no u and that is very true :P i wondered what it was like to be born during the war or a massive period in history, and i also wonder what it would be like to have been born 1000 yrs into the future:P

but really, things that have happened in my life make me realise that i was born when i was for a reason, and i dont think i would ever wanna change that unless the people iv met along the way were with me. everyone has changed my life, and its practically all for the better.. and now im getting a bit sappy so im gonna go and this had not much to do with ur q sorry l***y! x x x

I wish I had been born in the 50s so I could have grown up in the 60s and 70s.

If you had been born in the 1980's, you would probably like the fashion styles of the 1960's, and so on.
You like the 80's because they are gone, growing up with them would make you consider them "normal" and mainstream, and you'd probably wouldn't find them as interesting as you do now.

That being said, I love the music from the 1960's and 1970's myself.

Oh, yeah. I often think I should have been born in the pioneer days. I much prefer living in a cabin in the woods than in this styfling city environment. I like a simpler, slower life.
