The best way is to breast feed for as long as possible. As well eating properly and getting daily exercise. Its amazing what pushing a stroller around the block can do. I also found with my first child it came off alot faster and easier.

again, breastfeeding (breast pump if you don't like or can't breast feed), steady walking, drink LOTS of water, no tea or coffee, low sugar low fat diet. Make sure you don't do ANY exercise other than your post natal ones that you are given at the hospital until AFTER your 6 week check up at the doctors. Only they can decide if you are ready for real exercise. Your muscles and bones are still soft and stretchy and need time to recover. My stomach muscles took ages to go back together and i had back ache for about 6 months after the birth. Green tea is good for you too - apparently it burns about 100 calories just by drinking it! My doctor recommended that if you want to lose 1lb a week then you need to cut your calories by about 500 per day. Add on 500 calories worth of exercise per day and you should lose at least 2lb a week easily! Its the steady weight loss that matters, not the quick fix! Also, did you know that 1 mile walking burns MORE calories than 1 mile running? BUT 1 minute running burns more calories than 1 minute walking..confused? Basically, if you do 1mile walking per day, if you want to jog it then increase the distance you run so that you burn more calories. Also, see the website below, it has lots of tips on how to make the most of walking! GOOD LUCK :)

Quick is not the answer ... any physician will tell you that you should plan to allow as much time to take the weight off as it took to put it on. Slow and steady is best, and know that your bones and organs have been restructured so that the actual SHAPE of your body has changed forever.
