When i choose the option Unplug/eject hardware and click Stop, the msg Your USB can now be removed safely, appears but even before i click Ok the system restarts. Please help.

When i choose the option Unplug/eject hardware and click Stop, the msg Your USB can now be removed safely, appears but even before i click Ok the system restarts. Please help. Im sure i dont have i virus on my comp because i just recently formatted the system. I use Win 2000.

Hey ity happens not only with this pen drive but also with all the other pen drives and also mp3 players which goes into the USB port.

Well i think there is a virus in ur PC. Use any latest anti virus. But before that try formatting ur flash drive.

1. Plug in the flash drive
2. Format it
3. Now try to remove it.

when you're done right-click the green and grey arrows by the clock then click "safely remove hardware".

edit - sorry, I guess you've tried that. did you try all of you other usb ports?

You have a virus. You need to format your hard drive and reinstall windows to get rid of it.

use the "saftly remove hardware" option

may be ur driver files corrupted. reinstallation of ur drivers may solves ur problem.
