is there any hope?? if so what do i do? i took out the battery and sim card and am just letting it dry out. i tried turning it on once and it lit up blue...but that was it. so i took it apart again and am letting it continue to dry

If your phone had been off and you had not tried to turn it on before it was dry you might have been OK, but you are probably hosed now. Ask your friends to take up a collection.

No you will need to get a new phone.
Inside the phone is a circuit board which has channels of copper lines connecting all the parts. When your phone gets wet like that then the circuitry shorts out, causing parts on the circuit board to blow. It may have lit up but I guarentee you it will not work if it doesn't now. Because even if it dries out, the damage is already done. Sorry :(

looks like if you are going to carry it in your pocket all the time, you need to drain the pool
