Depends on how it goes with the last name. Coida Smith would be OK, but Coda Paint or Coda Honor wouldn't work.

I had a cat named Coda. He was a silly lil cuddle monkey and I loved him alot. It's an awesome name.

My friend's dog name is Coda (But they spell it Kota because it's short for Dakota)
