the smell of cigarett's bothers you because it subcontiously remind's you that your addicted . and that you have no controll over cigarett's . you want to control cigaretts like you control , all the things in your life . you won't give them up because other people have asked you to stop, but you won't give them that power over you. stop and think about this, if you won't give other people power over your life . then maybe it's time to give power back to the one that gave it to you in the first place. have you called upon jesus lately. i spoke to him when i had a drinking problem. and he told me change your enviroment and you will change your habits. so i went were the sobor people went and found that what they were doing was a lot better then were i was going. it felt good to meet someone who was on the same road i was going . a new face and a new place made life turn around from the direction i was going. so i say turn away from the path you have choosen and you will run smack into jesus. he's waiting for you to addmit you are powerless so he can be your strength. im not preaching to you im only trying to help you change your way of thinking see the answere has always been inside of you only you refuse to see it . listen to your vocabulary when you say i can't stop smoking but the truth is you won't stop. is your dislike of other smoking your way of glorifing your owne smell of smoking im sure if the shoe was on the other foot .. someone might be saying the same about you . or is their appintion even matter is this all about you. or do you really want change. i can't help you if your not even will to admit difeat. in something as small as this that has become bigger then you . why because your so called little problelm as reach all the way over here. sincerely yours at heart trueagape from above. agape from the greek word truelove from within.

The same argument could be used against alcohol use. Not only can a non-drinker smell the alcohol, but it has far more health risks than smoking if you include the drunk driving factor, the aggressive factor, etc. If I drive a car while smoking, I'm not likely to kill anyone..if I smoke a cigarette, it's not going to cause an aggression in me that would have me start a fight with someone or bang my partner around. I smoke, and am considerate of those who don't. I only drink very rarely, but have never had a problem with people who do enjoy a drink. I also think that bars, and other businesses probably suffer financially during the winter months when their patrons have to go outside in the cold to smoke. Is smoking a right? I don't know if it would fall under that category, but what right a smoker 'does' have, is the right to do that is they so choose without being made to feel like a leper or third-class citizen. There are far worse things out there.

10 - 15 a day is classed as a moderately light smoker. I think that you are ready to stop being a slave. I rather wonder why you are lighting up in the first place, since the smell of your own smoke must make you feel sick.

I wonder if there is something that you haven't fully acknowledged which is either making you smoke or causing the feeling of sickness. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of time for people who come down on you heavy, saying you shouldn't smoke and now you know what it's like for non smokers. There is a reason that you feel the need to smoke and there's also a reason why you feel sick. It's very individual and there is nothing that works for everybody.

If you want to discuss it further, I would be glad to help. Contact me through my profile and let me know how we can talk, if you wish.

I don't get sick around it, but I don't like it either. Wish I had some explanation, but I know a lot of people who are the same way. Maybe it's just that second-hand smells different than what is wafting into our nostrils at the same time we taste it. I just don't know. I also hate walking back toward the room I was just smoking in after having left to do something elsewhere. Just one of those weird smoker things, I guess.

I have been smoking less as I am trying to quit and for the first time in years I can smell the smoke of other people. It turns my stomach also. For the first time I have sympathy for the non-smokers out there in public that have to smell us smokers. It adds to my desire to quit, which we all know we should.

Even though you are a smoker you are probably allergic to cigarette smoke, which is even more likely if you have any problems with dryness with your nose. Best option really is for you to try quitting, the NHS provides all that anti-smoking stuff free these days to help you. Allergy testing can be done at Holland & Barrett think it costs around £40.

I agree with Pamela_d_99, now you understand what us non smokers go through. It is very rude and disgusting when people smoke around others with no regard to how they feel about it. Sounds to me like you need to stop smoking. 10-15 cigarettes a day is ridiculous. You should think about your health and others around you. Please try and quit because it will only do you good.

Hope this helps

Doesn't tell you something about smoking? I used to smoke about 60 a day - even waking up in the night to light up, now I haven't smoked since about 1986. The main reason I quit was listening to my mother's coughing - she's dead now.
