You can get some info for free at the mormon website I'll list it here, depending on how in depth you want to go there are a ton of websites out there, another good one to try is usgenweb. they break down by state and county and you'd be surprised what you can find sometimes. Family research is a passion of mine, if I can do anything to help let me know :)

That is a tricky question. I would start by google searching the stuff you just listed, and other family members names if you know them. There are not a ton of free family tree websites out there, but if you're lucky you will stumble on one in a web search like that.
