Augh! If it were ONLY Play-Doh! IF ONLY! I discovered some idiot gave Schlitzie modeling clay. not Play-Doh...it is sticky, gooey, and never ever dries out.

You need to put more clay all over and draw squares on it.(clay tile floor)

There is a wonderful, wonderful product called Play Doh B Gon. (Don't you love the spelling.) I have seen infomercials on at 4 in the morning when I'm drunk but not quite ready to go to bed. It's available to you for four EASY payments of $19.95. But wait! Order in the next 10 minutes, and they'll throw in a bonus bottle absolutely FREE!

I'm not sure about shag carpet, but I surely know about regular carpet.(I have two boys:)) I always let it dry and take a spoon to scrape off the looser peices, then simply take a damp cloth with a tad bit of dishsoap and wipe the rest off. You can also vaccume after the spoon, and before the cloth.
Good Luck!

Welp, I use a product called Spot Shot.......it's pretty much the ONLY product I use. I've used it on my and other people carpets where they've spilt....make-up, lip-stick, red juice, dirty marks, pet stains and more.

Wouldn't hurt to try it...it's the first thing I'd pick!
I find it at Safeway!

Good Luck

I would let it dry COMPLETELY. It gets real brittle when it's dry, so perhaps you'll be able to kind of "chip" it off the carpet. But then, you might have some color residue left over. I'm not sure.

Maybe treat it like gum? Put an ice cube on it then try to chip it off? Good question though

Soak it with a flammable liquid and then sit down on it and enjoy a cigarette.
