If you go during State Fair time (late Sept. to mid Oct.), don't miss the Texas State Fair

JFK Memorial and the Texas School Book Depository, Six Flags in Arlington, Ranger's Stadium, maybe a ball game (George Bush owned the Rangers at one time.)

Top of the Tower Restaurant near the Hyatt Downtown Dallas is an impressive place to eat an expensive dinner. Look up Baby Doe's Matchless Mine for dinner also. They had buffalo on the menu at one time.

Fort Worth is a 40 minute drive from Dallas. In Fort Worth, Billy Bob's Texas is billed as the world's largest Honky Tonk. Featuring real bull riding every Friday and Saturday night. They also have music concerts with pop and country artists like Hootie and the Blowfish, Pat Benatar and Jo Dee Messina. Concert Tickets sold separately. It is a bar, but you can play video games too.

There is great Tex-Mex food in Dallas and just about every kind of ethnic food that you can think of. Lots of things to see and do. Other cities north of Dallas are good to visit too......such as Plano / Frisco area. Of course, there's the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers.

Deep Ellum if you love all types of music and like to party and drink. Travel to midcities to Six Flags over Texas which is a fun amusement park with rollercoasters. Travel to the sister city of Fort Worth and visit some of the museums and art galleries there if you're into that or my personal favorite the Fort Worth Zoo!
