Why is baseball the only sport where the coaches must wear the same uniform as the players?

Back in the early days it was common for the managers to play as well. The tradition just stuck.

There has been player/managers in the past. Pete Rose and Frank Robinson were. So they need to be in uniform to play. I cant see Connie Mack out in centerfield with his straw hat and suit and tie. Plus the other sports the manager/coach isnt allowed on the field/court/ice notwithstanding injury.

They don't have to I don't think but it's tradition, I guess.
