Steve Nash no doubt, he is the NBA's assist leader and he is an excellent scorer as well. His shooting percentage is amazing for a point guard. I'd say second would be Chauncey Billups and the upcoming best point guard is Chris Paul. He's going to amazing in a few years if he doesn't get injured.

Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns, without a doubt. He has won NBA MVP the last 2 seasons, which should not be underestimated. He makes his teammates better, and that is the mark of a great player.

I can tell you it's not Jason Kidd or Gary Payton.
Added later: Also not Chauncy. That guy is one of the laziest sloppiest players right now. Rip is way better in terms of hustle. During the 2005 finals Chauncy just laughed when he missed a clutch shot. They lost that game and then the championship.

Chauncey Billups. He led the Pistons to a championship in 03-04 him being the MVP of the series so props to him. If you go back in history, Magic could play any position. He took Kareem's spot when Kareem was injured.
