the ipod can hold alot more songs than the mp3 player. the ipod mini holds about a thousand and the reg ipod holds about 5000. mp3 players hold around 30-40 songs. that's pretty much the difference

Regular mP3 players hold less and don't have all of those features but do cost less. I have an iPod and I recommend getting one of them but Dell also make good mP3 players.
