I downloaded Google earth and it is fantastic, but there are still - I think - a lot of interestin places like Cancun (Mexico) which is in a very bad quality. Maybe the satelites are not working well? It would be nice to find somebody who works in google earth and tell him to work on putting better quality there.
Another question by the way: Exist something like google earth, but with real, live images (so you could see even cars driving there)? Or only the FBI / CIA / NASA uses this?

Cost for live satellite - Expensive! Custom, real time satellite imagery requires you to contact the satellite owner and make arangements. Also, if you're in the USA, you may need to fill out an FBI clearance. Furthermore, there's no such thing as a geo-synchronos imagery satellite - If there were, the CIA would have use of it. And even still, the government sometimes loses "their man," so don't expect these services to be cheap (ie: expect to spend a few million if you want live video, a few thousand if you just want a pic.)

Hope this helps!

The Google Earth images are made up from a range of sources. The less accurate images are patched from satellite images. The more highly detailed ones come from aerial photography from planes, usually at about about 1000ft altitude.

They are slowly replacing the satellite images with aerial photography if available so keep checking back, it may improve at any time (my own home did and now I can see my old car outside it!)..
