Do others say or imply that you have such a condition? If so, try and see a specialist; a speech pathologist. I'm confident that with therapy you can overcome the impediment. Many famous well recognized people (public speakers) have overcome the condition.

Go to a speech pathologist or speech therapist. Speech problems are very common and are in no way an indication of intelligence.
I was treated by a speech therapist, and later worked for her. I got to meet a patient who was a brilliant man, and a professor for Princeton University. He had a stuttering problem and was getting better through treatment.
Many types of health insurance will pay for therapy, so make an appointment, it never hurts to go for an evaluation and consultation.
Good luck!

You need to contact a Speech & Language Pathologist in your area for diagnosis. If you do have a speech impediment, they can work with you to correct it. If you don't know of an S&L Pathologist and can't find one by searching the yellow pages or online, your doctor should be able to recommend one for you. Please don't hesistate to seek help. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to correct.
