I forgot to mention that this is a bike trail. So basically I'm trying to figure out how fast the bike needs to travel to clear the ditch. The 3.9 M includes the distance for the whole bike to clear the ditch.

The horizontal distance is 3.9 m

Let speed be u

So u*u*sin(2*15)/9.8 = 3.9

or u*u = 3.9*9.8*2

or u = sqrt(7.8*9.8) = 8.7429971977577574881856503693157

or speed is 8.74 m/s

If you are going to try this out then keep a speed of at least 10m/s or 36 km/hr.
