If you need to buy something every day, you've probably got a lot of stuff laying around that you don't need anymore.

Have a garage sale or sell it on Ebay or Craigs List.

Take the money you earn and put it into a savings account. Make sure it's an account that is inconvenient for you to take money out of. Don't link it to an ATM or Debit card. If you've got enough, put it into a CD or mutual fund. Have a set amount automatically deducted from your pay check and put directly into this account.

Another good way to save money is to refuse to spend change. When ever you have change, put it into a coin sorter. When your coin sorter is filled, roll your change and put it in your savings account.

And yes, try to figure out exactly why you feel the need to shop so much. Learn to find the same satisfaction that you get from shopping in a new, more productive behavior.
