Well, it's not really an ex, but an ex roommate. They got kicked out for fighting and escorted out by the police, but they left some of their belongings here. Do I have to keep them until they return for them, or can i pack it up and leave it outside? He already has to come with a police escort if he wants it anyway and he never said anything about coming back for the stuff. What do I do with it?

i would pack them and have him pick it up - give him one chance and document it - otherwise you'll end up on Judge Judy

well if you can contact him, let him know it has to be gone by i.e. Saturday-give him a couple of days. Tell him that you don't have room to store it and it will be given to
Goodwill or trashed. Record the conversation or make a copy if you send a letter or note.

not even one day. I don't hang on to them, I just them go. Wait at least 30 days and if he makes no attempt to come and get them I wopuld throw it all out.
