How do I remove a rocker arm stud from a 1978 chevy without the tool, and can I put a pressed one back in with the heads still on?

It cam be removed by "pulling" it out with some washers and the nut. remove the rocker arm and stack washers on then thread the nut on and tighten. The nut against the washers will pull the stud out.

Good luck getting one back in. Machine shop is your best bet.
