You DON'T need credit counseling. You need restraint. Call the company today....go ahead and get off the computer and call them, and explain why you are behind.....please no dogs, no deaths, no excuses. Set up a payment plan with them. Whatever you do, DON'T close the account....it is more harmful to close the account than it is to be late.......Contact with the company will also keep you out of hot water with them. You stand a better chance of them not reporting your delinquency if you have a good rapport with them....go ahead someone, tell me that the company must report it anyway, and I'll give you tons of experiences where clients have actually gotten away without the company reporting it to the credit bureaus.

Consumer Credit Counseling. They will work with your credit card company and get the payments stablized.

I did it on my own. It's a tough road to travel, but it can be done. It took me 5 years and working 2 and sometimes 3 jobs to pay them off. Now, I never charge more than I can pay off in two months.

Call the credit card company and tell them your situation. Close the account. Set up a payment plan.

Also, go to a reputable credit counselor. Check your area.

Sell something you don't need anymore. Get a second job.

In other words, do something to get more money and STOP SHOPPING!

Curb back your lifestyle so you can pay it off quickly and NOT do it again.
