This depends on what state you live in. California is a no-fault state so if you lived in California there would be no point to the blackmail. If you are concerned about no-fault then I wonder what you think you have done. The fault seems to rarely affect the financial result anyway because no matter what...you will pay up. She will have very skilled attorneys who want your money even more than she does (believe it or not). Remember when it comes to the one trying to get the money...if they win the attorneys win.
I would say don't buy her the car. Your divorce will wind up in court no matter what. With all of your assets plus the fact that you have children, I am certain you will eventually see a judge so often you will remember them on a first name basis. If you do buy her the car (which you should not) make sure you have documentation showing that you bought it for her and try to include it in her part of the settlement. My other concern though would be standard of living. If you buy her the car while you are getting divorced it could also show that you are prepared to maintain a certain standard of living for her even after your divorce.
My advice? Get an attorney NOW! Before you do anything or make any more decisions. She is obviously not someone you want to deal with without professional help.

Buy her the damn car, if you take her to court, the results may not end up how you want them. If you are born with a golden spoon then what do you expect. If you go to court, she'll end up wit half of your sh*t since it is all common property. I would buy her the car, because she'll just sell all the things that are awarded to her in the divorce and buy it anway, or you'll have to pay her a certain amount of money so you can keep the sh*t you own (a trade off for material goods for cash). Get the divorce you want by buying the car (which she probibly deserves because she's taken care of you and your kids) and then go to court over child custody.
Don't make this worse for your kids. A lot of divorces end just like this, if you want out you need to do what she wants so you can have your way.

First of all you both are very young. And that means immature. Don't pay the bribe. Instead use that money on a marriage counselor. Your children deserve that. Your wife does seem to want money and you have probably made it really important in this relationship. Is the money yours or your parents? There is a difference, you know. Too much money given by parents can ruin children. Be sure this doesn't happen with yours. Grow up. I wish you the best.

Man, you are a piece of work. You got what you deserved with that woman. Now, go take your "golden spoon" and hire yourself a good lawyer. Sounds to me like she has something to hang over your head and you'll be payout out of your asss anyway. Also, a new car will not solve your problem. You'll have to pay child support for a long long time. Next time you want a wife, pick one who loves you not your money.

first of all, you need to talk this over with your lawyer. if you do decide to do this it needs to be in writing because who's to say that once she gets the car she really will sign.
second, no matter what you give her, you are still going to have to pay child support so don't assume by giving her this car you are cutting all financial ties with her.

Divorces suck for kids , so you and your wife need to grow up ,quit being so selfish and do what's right for the children involved.

Screw that. How long have you been married? Get yourself a good lawyer if you have the money and give her nothing.
