I don't think of this question as true philosophy, I'm simply having fun. There is nothing wrong with it. if you feel I'm wasting your time don't answer. if you want to have fun and think a little. why not answer.

A very wise man once said: " A fool continuously makes the same mistake over and over again...and a wise man learns from the mistakes of fools...! It's never foolish to seek wisdom...as long as you seek knowledge and understanding to go along with it...and it's never wise to seek after things that can bring you or someone else harm...nothing good can ever come from foolish jestures...only harm to others feelings...in one way or another...!

I'd say both.

A fool would always be seeking higher truth or knowledge and wisdom. Someone that has already been there might be bored and seek foolishness as a means of entertainment. That's pretty much how I was in high school, bored to the point of being foolish and wild.

I think it's fools seeking wisdom. All those arrogant, stuck-up people-- when you dig into their true self, all they are is a shell. They use big vocabulary, making the true meaning so unclear. That's not wise. The wise seeks foolishness, too... where have all the respectable people gone? They are chasing after fame and popularity. I guess that this world is all about the outside. I mean, they don't care if they're seen as wise/ foolish... just as long as they're "cool".

These questions where we simply switch the words around are truly ignorant. The world is not a "yes or no" place.

Some wise people seek foolishness.

Some fools seek wisdom.

Really what is the point of such black and white categorisations of humanity? Is this just what some people think philosophy is -just a bunch of illogical word games?

We are far more interesting than this.

This is a great question. (Darn you!)

Fools are fools because they do NOT seek wisdom. Sadly, many of the 'non-fools' who seek wisdom can easily get side-tracked by a world filled with foolishness.

Where does this site 'fit' into this perspective? Is it a source of wisdom or a distraction of foolishness? My answer: it is both.

Thanks for a stimulating question.

The acknowledgment of one's foolishness is the beginning of wisdom. Humans tend to seek answers, whether in a "wise" fashion or not. So I suppose the former is closer to the mark..

We are all fools, some hide it better than others.

Those who seek wisdom know that they will not reach it, but still seek it, and are fools in that respect. Those who don't seek wisdom, are just people, and nothing is expected of them.

We are born wise, but since there are so many other people acting foolish, we think that we are the fool..thus tend to be like the majority and act like fools..
