Maybe. It's feasible if 1) you like HOW they market, 2) you follow their process. The critical part of any MLM is to get people to do the same thing over and over again. This usually means there are a lot of rallys and sometimes inauthentic pep talks. What's happening is people are replacing what large corporations have to pay to accomplish. So, if I were Nestle, I'd have a very large marketing and advertisiting budget to tell people to buy Nestle Hot Chocolate. But, if I'm Stevens, I get a bunch of people to tell their friends and family tht this is the best hot chocolate made in the world. If I were to trade my time to do that, I'd get paid for that. I'd also get paid for anyone else I've gotten to do that with me.

So, it makes sense. It works, if you work it. What are the drawbacks? I've looked into a few, and found that I can't keep my dignity and do these things. I am a thinking person, and thinking is not allowed with these groups. They want you to follow the formula, kind of like a drone in a bee hive.

Also, a lot of these groups don't have a lot of credibility. Face it, you hang out with a lot of people that are kind of like you. In an MLM, a lot of people aren't like you. When you bring people like you to meet with people not like you, they wonder if you're like them. In a typical business arrangement, Nordstrom shoppers don't mix with thrift store shoppers, and so nobody questions whether the store can meet their needs. MLMs mix up the people in a way that favors people who believe in the lottery, but don't invest in their own education.

Last thought: I know a lot of dignified and successful people who have worked in MLMs. Some of these have incredible wealth, and they did it on the merits of their labor, not on anything else. It's a way to level the playing field.

Whatever you decide, good luck

Yes it absolutely is..it does take some work to learn....I have been doing mail mlm and network marketing for over five years now....and have made thousands in the process.

I feel it is best to get involved with programs that offer websites.

The following programs are the ones I am currently promoting and, of course, all of them offer websites. You would be amazed at how much a website will increase your sales.

With websites, you end up with sales you don't even realize you have...you are getting sales while you sleep, in many cases.

And, the best source of quality names that I have found is www.primechoicelists.com Please Use Dept Code 5491 when you order. These names are not only reasonably priced, they are highly responsive, and there are very few undeliverables. I highly recommend them, as good lists are hard to find. Everyone says there lists are good, but from experience, you wil find that most of them have duplicates, many, many undeliverables, and are not very responsive.

MLM...If you have to pay to join, convince someone to pay to join under you and so on...then I would stay away from them.

Networking...If you are using it as a means of making contacts (it's who you know) to advance your own business and not exploit others, then it is a great tool.

I think what you really want to know is what kind of business should you start. If you need ideas you can check out this site. They have ideas and information on different business ideas. These are things you can do yourself and have your own business.

multi level marketing is also known as a pyramid scheme largely due to the excessive falure rate in this type of marketing it is a good structure if your on top of it and dont mind a high turn over rate at about 95 %. one of the biggest problems of multi level marketing is that it tends to force alot of people with little training to try to interact with and sell to people. which is one of the biggest fears of many people. I have been in two MLM;s and found both of them too hurt more people then it helped. but those on top are often rich. sometimes unhappy but then can make alot.

It can be. If you really work it and build a network you can make money, sometimes excellent money. Companies like Arbonne, Mary Kay and Tupperware are a few that have successful participants. There are others as well.

Few who join really make it, but then they do control their own destiny by how much work they invest.
