My computer was given to me so I do not have the windows 98 cd rom the web cam installation requires. What can I do to get my new hardware working? I was told I can download windows 98 but I've been unsuccessful in locating it. Anyone have a link they can send me? I'm not very knowledgeable about this kind of stuff so I can use all the help I can get! Thanks!

well go to the manufacutre site for the driver and check if you can install it..... next go download windows xp pro or home either one pro just has a better wireless experience .... and when u plug in your webcam your WinXp will automatically detect it.... so no biggi

Did you go to Add/Remove hardware? If you did, you can let Windows find what it needs from the internet, instead of using the info from your pc or cd. Just let Windows detect it while it is connected and it should do all the work for you! Good luck!

See if you can find a name /type of webcam and you can download the software from the manufacturers site. If not try driver/com - you should be able to find a driver there that will get you going.
