How about because they have had women freely sign up to be suicide bombers children as young as eight have been suicide bombers as well. In Iraq families are praised by their neighbors for sacrificing themselves or their children for the cause. It is always sad to see but it does happen the rules of war over there are very different from our own beliefs. And yes sadly enough some are just innocents that are killed.
Consider though these people are usually mistakenly killed whereas they target us specifically. They have tortured, mutilated, and beheaded both men and women over there, and those people were not even a part of the war in many cases. In fact most were there as peace workers to help provide aide.

First of all, I DO support our troops, I was married to a Marine for almost 10 years during the first Gulf War. That being said, I am placed into a state of complete and utter shock every day i turn on the news and the headline is not all the illegal and corrupt things the President and our goverment are responsible for. I am also floored by the answers to this question, because i cant believe people still support a president that has not done a single thing for the people. Do we have lowered taxes as promised, not unless you are in the top 1 percent income bracket. Do we have better schools? No, in fact most schools have dropped out of the programs he has created because of their utter uselessness. Did he come to our aid when we needed it? No, instead he hired a horse trainer to be in charge of saving drowning babies. Is he even rightfully our President, there is proof to say that he isn't, and anyone who doubts that should check out the article by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. SO, in answer to the question, the reason has a lot to do with the military training in boot camp, which (and this is according to them) consists of ripping a persons will down and building them up to dehumanized soldiers that don't think, they just do as they're told. I know this will be taken the wrong way, but I do not believe that all soldiers agree with the war, and I am not against the military in any way, I just feel very sorry that they are risking their young lives to fight for a president that doesnt care about them, and has no real timeline for getting them out of there.

If any American soldier intentionally kills a noncombatant (child, woman or man) they will be brought up on charges and if found guilty they will suffer the correct penalty.

On the other hand, the terrorists intend to kill noncombatants (children, women, and men) and they are not only not charged, they are applauded by their supporters.

In every war noncombatants are killed and injured are that is not desirable, but it is the intent of those doing the killing which should be examined. It is clear that it is the terrorists who intend by policy, by plan, and by action to kill and injure as many noncombatants as possible.

I do understand that there are individuals who do not like (and even hate) President Bush, but that isn’t what this question was addressing.

Why did 19 Muslim terrorists fly planes into buildings and kill 3000 innocent Americans? Why are Iraqis killing Americans that freed them from Saddam Hussain? Why do terrorists shoot US soldiers while hiding behind women and chidren? Why does the USA pay more than 40% of the budget for the entire United Nations? Why the heck does every country on the planet look to the USA for help when ANYTHING bad happens to them and shuns the USA if they don't help?! (IE: Most of eastern europe: WW1 & 2, Tsunamis, earthquakes, famine, political unrest, etc)
Why can't other countries take care of themselves for once and stop demanding assistance from the US tax payer - JUST ONCE! Billions upon billions of humanitarian aid to countless countries. Trillions in loans to even more countries with no obligation to pay it back. Instead they take our money and hate us for it.

I can't tell you the answer to that question but I can tell you this historically what has been considered by some as the most successful military campaigns have been the ones where no survivors where left to regroup and mount counter offensives latter. I doubt we are willing to go that far. Maybe just mistakes or poor judgment in a heated situation.

definite, i picked off some merely strolling in the process the streets of baghdad. We couldnt even return fire except we could actual perceive who advance into firing at us. We dont indiscriminately shoot people, or blow them up, because of the fact the insurgents do. They kill women people and teenagers without experience sorry approximately. There is no reason. It happened. It should not have happened. The men saw their friends killed, adrenalin, testosterone, anger, fear. Everything contributed to it.
