One of the major functions of steroids is anti-inflammatory. It is used in breathing medications in order to decrease inflammation in the respiratory system such as the lungs and the tubes leading to the lungs. By decreasing inflammation, a person is able to breathe better.
No, there is not enough steroids in her inhaler dosage to improve someone's energy. However her personal energy level is probably increased due to the fact that her med is helping her to breathe thus getting more oxygen to her body, decreasing her need to fight to breathe and improving her energy. These medications are dangerous if not taken as prescribed by the doc but are very effective if used as prescribed.

steroids generally cause muscle growth and with that, and if it's in a breathing medication, it would open up the lungs and allow more oxygen into the blood and tissues and should allow more energy to occur in people.
