There isn't anything wrong with you! Some people start their periods at different times from others. My best friend didn't start hers until she was 16. The only reason to call a doctor would be if you hadn't gotten your period by the time you were 18--that's called "primary amenorrhea."
Don't worry---you ARE normal! :)

There are two theories of thought on when you will begin menstruating. One is that you will begin when your skeleton reaches maturation. The other theory is that it is dependent upon your weight and fat percentage. Studies have shown that when a girl reaches the weight of 110 lbs and 1/4 of that weight needs to be made up of fat. Some girls do not start their period until as late as 16.
Signs of when you will start your period are 18 months to 2 years after your breasts begin to develop and when you have almost reached your adult height (the skeletal maturation theory)/after your growth spurt.
The latter theory explains why the age of first menstruation for US girls is getting younger and younger (as early as 6 or 7) as obesity is on the rise in America.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Everyone's body is different. Some start as early as 11 or 12, others, like myself, around 18! Don't worry hun, it'll happen soon enough!

Every girl is different. If you're involved in a lot of sports it can sometimes put them off, but when your body is ready it will happen. Trust me....the longer it takes the better for you LOL
Seriously though, if you're concerned go see the doc.

Don't worry it is not too late. It may start very shortly and if not before 15, consult your doctor.

Check your body fat percentage. Girls start within a few months of reaching 13% body fat.
