your motorcycle book should tell you, if you don't have the right book, gap it like you would with a car enough to get you down the road to the dealership, they can look the spec up 4 u in a flash...
probably gap the plug for cheap/free, or just take your wrench and your gap tool with you. Spark plugs get hot, though, so don't crack the insulator when it burns your fingers! LOL
