If the floors are wood, it"s gonna be tough. I would scrub with hot soapy water, throw in a box of baking soda (it"s a great neutralizer) dawn detergent and some lemon juice. Rinse well. And dry well. This is important blow a fan on that floor for hours. Take it from there. Good Luck!!!!

The disinfectant you used probably had an ammonia base, which wouldn't help as cat urine is also ammonia based. Try a vinegar and water solution, if that doesn't work, try stripping the floor. Good luck.

I know charcoal absorbs the smell but not exactly practical with new carpet. I wonder if pouring febreeze on it and leave it to soak in would help the odor to go. Worth a try if all else fails!

the only way u can remove the smell of cat urine from the floor boards, is as far as i know, is to replace the floor boards.that sounds real expensive to me. you could try vinegar and i mean lots of it.
