in asking questions the only thing to remember is if the question is appropriate

is it asked in the appropriate time? you don't ask a person how beautiful life is when he just lost someone he loves

is the question asked to the appropriate person? you don't ask what sex is to a child

is the question appropriate to the topic? you don't ask about the football game scores when the topic is about the play you and your group saw

is the place appropriate for your question? you don't ask about how waste is being managed in your city when in a restaurant full of people dining

just always test for the appropriateness of the question in any given circumstance

If English isn't your native language, maybe someone can help you with a translation.
