Is it even called a hamster? The small white animal that has pink ears and totally looks like a house mouse?

Hamsters typically live no more than two to three years in captivity, and less than that in the wild.
...and DO NOT GIVE IT A COMPANION! Hamsters are extremely territorial and will kill other hamsters in their cage! i know this because i used to work in a pet shop and its sometimes hard to even get hamsters to breed because they fight.

A dwarf hamster are more likely to accept another house mate. While sometimes two or more animals can live peacefully within one home. Life span 24 - 30mth.

yes, it is called a hamster. the average lifespan of any hamster is 2-3 years and hamsters don't need a companion, but is better left without one. if you do want a companion for it, they might need to be in seperate cages until they accept each other

I have a dwarf hamster and it depends onif you got it when its a baby if it needs a playmate because you kind of train it like a dog. Or at least thats what mine did. And my cousin told me that they last over 2 years old.
