I'm new to Dallas, TX and would like to know what people think a person can do to meet friends, and not be so locked up in work and stuff. It's hard being alone and your friends being miles away! I'm a christian, so perhaps looking up the local church would be a place to start. Well, what do y'all think?

I used to live in Dallas. There are great churches with good singles group. Try Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and Fellowship in Las Colinas.
Another good way is to volunteer. There are many great volunteer opportunities. Try 500 Inc., Shakespeare Festival, etc. The Dallas Chamber of Commerce sponsers several really cool programs for business people...Leadership Dallas, and there is another one, ck those out.
Also, you can meet people at Yahoo Personals, Match, and those kinds of sites.
