He is having a huge year on a first place team, so that bodes well for him. What doesn't look so good is that he plays in the same league with Albert Pujols, so the NL MVP award may be tied up for years to come. It all depends on how The Machine returns from his injury. Keep in mind that Pujols was so far out in front of the league in HRs and RBIs that even though he was gone for nearly a month, he still is 1 or 2 in those depts, and even if it takes him a week or two to get back in shape, he is close enough to the leaders to get back on top. But Wright is having a huge year, and having Delgado and Beltran protecting him is a Godsend.

Although Wright is one of the best young talents in the league, he isnt necessarily the MVP of his own team.Pujols is the MVP of his team and league. Look how the Cardinals tanked without him. But certainly Wright is more than deserving. He is AWESOME and would be my first fantasy pick next year.

wright is the best 3rd basemen in the league and he is a very strong player so yes i think he has a fair shot at NL MVP this year.

No one can ever legitimately judge an MVP candidate until mid-September. You still have more than half of a season to play.

not a mets fan, but a red sox fan, so we both hate the yankees, right? ok, wright has a shot. I dont think it is a great shot when pujols is there, but its a shot.

hes an outstanding participant, yet i dont imagine he will be consistant sufficient to get an mvp award. he's an allstar, and a tremendous impact on the mets. yet its confusing to imagine him having extra of an impact on the mets than Santana or assorted the tremendous bats he has round him in the lineup.

Sure...this month he's been on fire! What's he hit, like 10 HRs in June so far?
