I met my all time favorite player by accident a few years ago. I was at a gas station, and I walked over to ask for directions. At the pump was John Hannah, He used to play for the Patriots. I was like a little kid talking to him. I was so excited. We talked about when he played, and how my Dad took me to see him. His wife was getting a kick out of it. He signed an autograph while he was pumping gas. On his way in to pay he ran into my wife. She said, sir I don't know who you are but you made my husbands night. He said no, he made my night. This was well after his playing days, and he was already elected to the hall of fame. As we were leaving my six year old son went up to him (after I explained who he was) and asked him if he was any good. This really got his wife laughing as they left the gas station. It was a meeting I will never forget!
