its evil, maybe? Thats what I think.
Why else does much of the world call it the "Great Satan"?
I don't quite agree with that, however, because the Devil is the Devil.

because ours is the best. WE are a democratic republic. Our people vote for a lot of stuff. And the president cannot take over the country like a dictstor because all of his laws have to go through the other branches of government. So, there is equal balance among the different branches of government. That is why and if you don't like the USA or appreciate the USA, I think that you should move to a country that is a lot poorer than us and have a different government. You will see how LUCKY you are to live in the USA!
I am just saying because this is what I believe.

Because the vast majority of people there are too stupid to realise they have idiots running the country. This gives the idiotic people in power false ideas that they are doing a good job.
Hence the cycle continues as they continue to make bad judgement calls again and again.
Before any Americans here flame me, think about this ;
US troops went into Afghanistan after the horror of 9/11 (rightly so), they didnt catch Osama.
They then went to Iraq and totally blew apart the countrys frail state and reduced its infrostructure to zero.
They went there for the oil, so the govt can keep the stupid people happy as they drive about in their 5 litre vehicles.
If the US wants to be the worlds 'friend' and fight the 'war on terror' to 'protect the innocent', why dont they go to Burma. Or Congo. Or El Salvador. Or Somalia in force. *lightbulb* I know, because there's no oil or anything of value to them.
They think there the best because they are most powerful in the military sense, and if things dont go there way, they invade.

Because it was one of the first democratically elected representative governments in the world. The leader is elected not only by popular vote, but by an electoral vote that gives more weight to less populated states. There is an admirable system of checks and balances between the three main divisions of the government. From the chief executive to the local city council, representation is an important part of our government. It doesn't always work the way we want it to, and it doesn't always do what we want it to, and sometimes we may even wish we were Canadian! But I think the U.S. system was an extraordinary attempt at a new form of governing.

Many of us in the USA do not think that. I have lived in four other foreign countries, and seen a variety of government forms. The US has a great system, IF it were used properly, BUT IT IS NOT.
A better system like Ireland's single transferable vote, proportional representation would provide the US with the best people (not the richest or those in the pocket of big-business). It would be hard to transition to that system, but it would be worth it.

Actually the biggest army is that of China...
and in the coming years, the US will have to answer to it, as the economy of China overtakes that of the USA.
There will be a global shift in power..so the US may as well steal and plunder and take while it can, because by 2020..it is going to be pretty f*cked.
Oh by the way USA Gov=Corruption..it is not the best.

there are various similarities and adjustments between the corporate US and the Roman Empire. this is an exceedingly prevalent question. Rome become a "mixture" of Democracy and Republic varieties of government (*a million), purely because of the fact the de' jure u . s . a . become shaped as a Republic(*2), mutually as its shape made provisions for a democracy (for the seat of government) to maintain on its organization overseas. below Caesar, Rome integrated the captives and electorate from conquered lands into its very own realm of citizenship, purely because of the fact the corporate US integrated its slaves into its realm below a clean variety of citizenship as "u . s . a ." electorate. Regardless, this nevertheless maintains to be an extremely huge and prevalent question.

Leaders of the free world, yup that would qualify it as "best." Unfortunately, the "best" government is being run by idiots at the moment. Even the "best" sports car is going to look stupid if it's driven by a bunch of monkeys.

Ignorance, prejudice and hate. A nation built on immigration, but too ignorant to get along with themselves internally. Try to rule the world.
