If you happen to witness a female you didnt know getting beat up in public by her bf would u interfere?

several months ago i around 3 in the morn coming from a club a seen this guy pounding on his girl outside in public i ran across the street to stop the whole thing and the guy tried to hit me i had to call the cops on my cell and the dude left the scene.....my family thought i should have minded my buiss, i disagree what would yall do??

Kudos to you! However, Maybe you should have called the police first, and then maybe the guy could have been caught and put in jail.

On the otherhand, had you not interfered when you did, the lady might not be alive now. You may have saved her life!

It's the right thing to do. You should help everyone in that situation, but you never know if they are very dangerous, they could pull a knife and hurt or even kill you.
Yesterday, there was a group of 6 young people on a bus who were behaving very aggressive against each other and a man told them to stop, just like you I suppose, and those guys have turned against him and kicked and punched him and now he's dead.
This is a true story, it has actuality happened, you can look it up. (It was in Antwerp)

I know that this is really controversial to another answer I made, but try to make out from a persons body language if they possess a weapon at the scene. Weapon or not call the cops, but if you're a guy it makes it easier. Just go up to the guy and ask him why he's beating his girlfriend. Try to be their psychologist, but don't dig in too deep, fights are usually extremely personal. Just say that it ain't cool to beat up your close people. Heck, tell them to fight verbally if they can't stay without fighting, but don't have them be physical. If it works out you'll feel good, you're family will feel good, and those people who were fighting will fell good. Bottomline is, call the cops, and try to do something.

I think you should have called the police as soon as you seen this happening. You may have in-dangered your own life by physically trying to stop him. Even if you had yelled and screamed to get other peoples attention to help stop him. But yes I would find some way to stop the dude as you say. Just be more carefull in the future.

i would want to interfere but i don't think that would be smart though the man could have a gun or something would you want to lose your life for some one you don't know and usely most women who are getting abuse don't leave their man they just go right back like nothing happen ....you should have stayed back watched called the cops and waited for the police to get their and tell them what you saw.....that would help her more than get in the middle of their fight and you could have ask the police to give her a number to call in case she wanted out of her cycle

you did the right thing. I hate all men that beat on their women because it is not right to hit a woman. If you do not love her then just walk away. A man should never put his hands on a woman. I would have jumped in and detained the man until the police showed up and I would see to it that he is put away.
