Grasshoppers are hard to rid unless you can spray all over and keep repeating because of the many many eggs they lay.Seven is one of the best sprays for hoppers, but like I said you have to repeat for several weeks, and if you border the country side it is almost impossible. Mowing helps a great deal also.
Turkeys are you best bet if you can still get some this time of year, they absolutely love grasshoppers and can eat their weight in the delectable bugs! I have the same problem where I live, I keep my garden fenced in and mowed around the best I can. I have many toads and snakes which help. I do not have turkeys because we have a big predator problem here, I live just up from a canyon, which is home to coyotes, bears, mt. lions and bobcats. Someday I hope to be able to house some turkeys safely in my garden, but have not figure that out yet.
The Government some many years back released hundreds and hundreds of turkeys here in my area because of horrible grasshopper infestation. it took a little time but sure worked out good!
Hope this is helpful!
God Bless

First, remember that grasshoppers need bare dirt to lay their eggs. Mulching of bare areas could be of some help.
Floating row cover or biological controls such as Nosema locustae(nolo) or Beauvaria bassiana. Garlic pepper tea.All-purpose flour from the grocery store, is reported to work well. A mixture of molasses, compost tea,and citrus oil also works. Build soil health and mulch bare soil. Drench soil with neem products. Blister beetle larvae eat the eggs. Feed the birds. By inviting more birds into your yard you increase grasshopper predators. Other natural predators include ground beetles, predatory flies, and parasitic flies.
If you use toxic chemicals, you are probably killing off all,or most of your biological controls.

use the 2 brick method
place 1 brick on the ground, place grasshopper on this brick, kill it using the other brick :-)

Sorry, the problem with a bad infestation of hoppers is that poisons take so long to work and new hoppers are moving in that the damage is already done before the hoppers die. Not much I know of that will help very much. Good luck
