Yes... you would die instantly.
lava's temperature is about from 700ºC to 1600ºC. That temperature is able to melt rock at high pressure inside Earth. Human body would melt just few seconds after falling in lava.
Streams of fluid lava (moving fast streams like Hawaii volcanoes) usually move over paths where rain water runs. So you have to go to high places. Lava with high viscosity move so slowly that you can scape from its path.

Surprisingly it would take a few minutes if you are not cover. Remember the case in Pompei ( an ancient city preserve that has been cover by lava ) There are actually a lot of preserve bodies in very good shape. Even the remains of trees in lava. It happened because lava has a very low melting point and when it touches anything it quickly cools off and thats why you always see a black dry cast on top of the lava. There cases when people fall into lava and being rescue. Thanks, hope that my answer will be helpful to you.

it all depends on which direction you fall into the lava. If you fell into a lava volcano the gases and heat may kill you before you hit the lava. If you fell onto a molten stream of lava feet first your feet would melt first and as soon as your brain got hot you would die probably within seconds. If you ever cooked a lobster you put it in head first, kills it instantly. Same rule applies to people. Stay away from lava.

I would think on the way into it the fumes would sufficate you. So hopeful you would stop breathing before you felt you body burning up and melting. If it came to you and you could get away intense pain horrible if you couldn't get away probly a minute or two for total death a horribly painful awful death heebie jeebies

Well if the volcanic gases didn't kill you first....which would be unlikely....I would say it would take a few minutes, and tremendous pain!
