People can learn to communicate and interact with one another on various levels depending on the task given to the group. Trust is bulit between individuals thru team work. People are able to learn from others ideas also offer thier ideas to aid others.

I can't think of 5 ways, but by working with other people, we see different ways to achieve the same goal, and may well adpot a different technique ourself, if some one else's is more effective.
We also learn 'soft' skills such as debate, compromise etc. It also gives people an opportunity to develop leadership or organisational skills.
